Thomson Reuters and the Olayan School of Business (OSB) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) are committed to working together to develop business reporting skills in the Middle East.  They also seek to bridge the gap between journalists, analysts and business leaders.

With these objectives in view, Thomson Reuters Foundation and AUB have developed a cooperation framework for a broad range of activities to be handled by a Business Information Academy that is still in the planning phase.

The goal is that, when fully operational, the Academy will offer short training courses as well as certificate/diploma programmes under the auspices of the AUB Continuing Education Center.   A set of modules, covering basic business reporting skills and the full complexities of banking and financial transactions, will equip participants with the knowledge and expertise to write confidently about business and economic affairs.
