Launching in 2007, the Business Journalism Certificate Programme will provide journalists from the Middle East with an opportunity to develop their business reporting skills. It has been devised by Thomson Reuters Foundation working in partnership with the Suliman Olayan School of Business (OSB) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) which will host the programme. Its set of modules, covering basic business reporting theory and the full complexities of banking and financial transactions, can be taken as a series of short courses, leading to a formal business information certificate for those who complete the whole programme.

Each module will combine theory sessions with practical exercises designed to reinforce participants’ understanding of financial matters and to increase their confidence in writing about business and economic affairs.
